Transformer leakage often causes serious consequences. There are two main reasons for transformer leakage: one is latent during the design and manufacturing process of the transformer; the other is due to improper installation and maintenance of the transformer. As the main parts with leakage problems in transformers, they often appear in radiator interfaces, flat butterfly valve caps, bushings, porcelain bottles, welds, blisters, flanges, etc.
Transformer leakage forms generally include the following:
1. Oil welding leakage: The welding quality is mainly poor, with a virtual weld, desoldering, pinholes, and welding defects such as blisters. Because the transformer is covered with welding flux and paint when it leaves the factory, hidden dangers will be exposed after operation. In addition, because there is no electromagnetic environmental vibration in the enterprise, our welding will crack and cause leakage.
2. Seal oil leakage: The reason for poor sealing is that the box edge and lid are usually sealed with oil-resistant glue sticks or rubber gaskets. If the joints are not handled properly, oil leakage will occur. Some are tied with plastic tape, and some are directly sealed. Press the two ends together. Due to rolling during installation, the joint cannot be pressed firmly and cannot be sealed, and oil still leaks.
3. Oil leakage from flange connection: The surface of the flange is uneven and the fastening bolts are loose. The installation process is incorrect and the bolts are not tightened well, causing oil leakage.
4. Oil leakage from cast iron parts: The main reason for the oil leakage problem is the development of blisters and cracks in cast iron parts.
5. Oil leakage from threaded bolts or pipes: rough processing equipment, poor sealing, and the seal of the transformer will cause oil leakage after a period of time.
6. Radiator oil leakage: The heat pipe technology of the radiator is usually made of seamed steel pipes that are flattened and stamped. Oil leakage often occurs in the bendable parts of the heat pipe and the control welding components. This is because our country When stamping the heat pipe, the outer wall of the pipe is under tension and the inner wall is under pressure, resulting in some residual stress.
7. Oil leakage from porcelain bottles and glass: usually caused by improper installation or seal failure.
